Bedwen Plants
West Wales's flavour-first nursery and garden centre, on the winery site at Henllan. Darren Shipp grows fruit, vegetable and herb plants chosen for taste, alongside ornamental perennials, bedding, shrubs, composts and pots.
Planhigion BedwenWhat We Grow
An independent garden centre focused on the unusual and the delicious, started as Ediplants in 2016 and growing ever since.
Beth rydym yn ei dyfuGrown for Flavour
Bedwen began life as Ediplants, and the kitchen garden is still its heart. Darren hunts down the varieties that actually taste of something, not the yield-first types bred for supermarket shelves, so your tomatoes, chillies and strawberries earn their space in the bed.
Colour for Every Corner
Since 2020 the nursery has grown well beyond edibles. Summer bedding and hanging baskets, long-flowering perennials, hardy shrubs and evergreens, and spring bulbs, with plenty for shade, rockeries and pollinators.
Everything to Get Growing
Pick up the rest of the kit in the same trip.
Compost and Growing Media
Responsibly sourced composts and growing media for beds, pots and seed trays.
Pots and Planters
Terracotta, glazed and recycled pots, planters and hanging baskets.
Plant Care and Feed
Feeds, composts and treatments to keep the garden thriving.
Ornaments and Sundries
Garden ornaments, tools and the odds and ends for the season ahead.
Kinder to the Planet
The garden trade carries a heavy footprint, and shrinking Bedwen's own is a constant mission. Darren focuses on the three worst offenders: cutting single-use plastics, avoiding pesticides, and moving to more responsible growing media.

Find Us Beside the Bistro
Bedwen Plants shares the winery site at Henllan, so you can pair a nursery visit with lunch at The Leeky Barrel and a browse in the gift shop.
Nursery Opening Hours
Plants are sold at the nursery and on bedwenplants.co.uk, not through this website.
