What Is Mead
Mead is honey wine: honey fermented with water, one of the oldest alcoholic drinks there is. Celteg Medieval Mead is a smooth, sweet 12% ABV mead with a rich, golden honeycomb finish, made to the oldest recipe the family could find and now the most popular bottle at the winery.
Serve it cold with meats and cheeses, or warm it gently to around 50 to 55 °C with cinnamon, nutmeg, star anise or allspice. Our Mulled Mead comes with its own spice bag for exactly that.
The Mead Collection
Medieval Mead won a Great Taste award in 2021 and is available singly, in duo and triple packs and in gift boxes. Celebration Sparkling Mead is the sparkling version for toasts, and Mead Liqueur is made with whisky in 50cl and 25cl bottles. All are made at the winery in Henllan, near Llandysul in Ceredigion, and delivered across mainland Great Britain.
