A dog-friendly Welsh bistro and tearoom in Henllan, near Newcastle Emlyn and Llandysul in Ceredigion. Sunday roast, cawl, Welsh rarebit, afternoon tea and home-made cakes, with Celteg wines from the winery next door. Fifty seats inside, 4 undercover booths and 6 picnic tables out.
What We Serve
Freshly cooked Welsh lunches, afternoon tea and cakes in a relaxed bistro beside the winery. A short, seasonal board of traditional Welsh dishes and lighter plates, with drinks from next door.

Freshly cooked Welsh lunches: cawl, Welsh rarebit, cockles and laverbread, and a proper Sunday roast every Sunday.
Afternoon Tea, Cakes and Desserts
Afternoon tea, home-made cakes, bara brith, Welsh cakes and ice-cream sundaes from the counter.
Drinks and Cocktails
Bay Coffee Roasters coffee, iced coffee, Welsh Brew teas, Heartsease Farm pressés, Celteg fruit wines, cocktails, Welsh ales, ciders and spirits.
Sunday Lunch at the Barrel
Sunday lunch in Ceredigion, served every Sunday from 12pm: roast beef, chicken or nut roast with all the trimmings. Tables of up to fifty can be reserved for family occasions; smaller tables are first come, first served. Send an enquiry and we will confirm by phone or email.
Also at the Winery
Make a morning of it. The winery gift shop and Bedwen Plants garden centre share the site with the bistro, a few minutes from Newcastle Emlyn and an easy drive from Cardigan and Carmarthen.
The Winery Gift Shop
Celteg fruit wines, mead, liqueurs and preserves made on site, alongside Welsh ales, ciders, cheeses and chocolates, and make-your-own hamper boxes. Tuesday to Friday 9am to 5pm, Saturday 10am to 4pm, Sunday 11am to 4pm.
Bedwen Plants
Darren’s on-site plant nursery and garden centre near Llandysul: vegetable, fruit and herb plants, summer bedding, shrubs, composts and pots.

The Leeky Barrel is at The Winery in Henllan, a village near Newcastle Emlyn and Llandysul in Ceredigion, close to the Carmarthenshire border. Free parking on site.
